Featured Author - Steph Mulley

Meet Steph Mulley, an author from Carleton Place who has been weaving magic with words through poetry and short stories since the late '70s

When she isn't writing, Steph is a creative force who loves planning fun photoshoots and spending time with her family. She lives right here in Ontario with her spouse, two grown-up kids, a lovable sheepdog, and a remarkable 30-year-old turtle!

It's Scratchy, It's Catchy, and I Just Don't Like It!

Imagine having your heart set on the perfect sweater, one bursting with all the colours of the rainbow, a big heart, and a cute bunny. That's exactly what little Mollie wishes for! But when Grandma knits her a sweater instead, things don't go exactly as planned.

Beautifully illustrated by Afton Jane, this colourful and one-of-a-kind story tackles some big, everyday themes that parents and children will instantly recognize:

  • Navigating big emotions

  • Sensory sensitivities

  • The power of love

This book is perfect for little readers, aged 3-7. The book is a meaningful, relatable read-aloud for both children and the gown-ups who love them.
